5 Tips & Tricks For a Flawless Self-Tan by Peta Jane

Are you tired of streaky, orange self-tanning disasters? Fear not, my friends! With these 5 tips and tricks, you will achieve a flawless self-tan every time.

Tip 1: Exfoliate the Day Before Self-Tanning

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! This is the key to a smooth and even application. Use a gentle scrub or body brush to slough off dead skin cells, and pay extra attention to rough areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.

Tip 2: Moisturize Rough Areas the Day Before Self-Tanning

Dry skin will absorb more self-tanner, resulting in a patchy and uneven finish. Apply a moisturizer on your hands, feet, elbows, and knees to prevent those areas from appearing darker than your body. Do not moisturize your body as that could result in a patchy and uneven application.

Tip 3: Use a Tanning Mitt on the Day of Self-Tanning

This will not only help you avoid staining your palms, but it will also provide an even application. Pump the self-tanner onto the mitt, and then smooth it over your skin in upwards circular motions. I recommend working with one small section at a time, as the Peta Jane Beauty self-tanners dry fast!

Tip 4: Use a Mist to Tan Your Face

Use a mist to tan your face! Self-tan mousses can be tricky to apply on your face, I recommend using a mist for a light, and natural face tan.

Tip 5: Pat Yourself Dry!

After bathing pat yourself dry instead of rubbing your towel over your body to keep your tan looking even and natural as it fades.

With these tips and tricks, you'll be rocking a flawless self- tan in no time! Happy tanning, ladies and gents!

Xoxo,
